St. Charles Soccer League - Registration
Thank you for your interest in the St. Charles Soccer League (SCSL).
Soccer in St. Charles Parish is operated by volunteers under the umbrella of the St. Charles Parish Recreation Department.
Programs Offered
Camps: St. Charles Soccer offers 3 different Summer Camps as well as a Winter Camp over the Christmas Holidays. Camps are for players 4-13. Half day only 9am-12pm.
Rec Programs Offered:
• U4 Junior Recreation for children age 3. No teams are formed. The group meets weekly on Saturday mornings for 6 weeks. The program is run by our professional staff and is an introduction to soccer in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The program is geared to help promote coordination and fine tune motor skills. Currently we offer this in the Fall and Spring.
• U5-U6 Junior Recreation for children ages 4 & 5 respectively. We offer a Fall & Spring League. Discounts are offered if you sign up for both Fall and Spring. Uniforms are provided. Players will be divided into teams, practice 1-2 times per week and play Saturday mornings.
• U8 Champions League for children ages 6-7. Fall & Spring League offered. Discounts are offered if you sign up for both Fall and Spring. Uniforms must be purchased from Third Coast Soccer if needed. Players will be divided into teams, practice 1-2 times per week and play Saturday mornings.
.• U10 Recreation for children ages 8-9. Fall & Spring League offered. Discounts are offered if you sign up for both Fall and Spring. Uniforms must be purchased from Third Coast Soccer if needed. Players will be divided into teams, practice 1-2 times per week and play Saturday mornings.
• Senior Rec for children ages 10-14. Fall & Spring League offered. Discounts are offered if you sign up for both Fall and Spring. Uniforms must be purchased from Third Coast Soccer if needed. Players will be divided into teams, practice 1-2 times per week and play Saturday mornings. Players will also have the option to participate in an additional practice Wednesday nights with St. Charles Soccer's Professional Staff.
Competitive Soccer:
Competitive Soccer League(Age 10-18)/ Youth Development Team(Ages 8-9) is for the more advanced players interested in competitive play. Evaluations are required to be placed on a roster. SCSL reserves the right to combine age groups to provide all qualified registrants the opportunity to play. Competitive LCSL teams do not have a 50% play rule. These teams also have additional team dues for expenses such as but not limited to: Uniforms, Training Fees, Tournaments, etc.
U8 Pre-Academy (Age 6-7) - The Pre-Academy program provides the player interested in more training the opportunity to get more. The Pre-Academy is coached by our professional coaching staff and games are played in our in house Rec league.
Other Programs Offered: Summer and Winter indoor or outdoor leagues. Information on these leagues are sent out by email blast when registration is open.
Other Information:
UNIFORMS: With the exception of U4 and U6 Rec, all uniforms must purchased through Third Coast Soccer, 5240 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006. You may order online as well. A link will be posted on stcharlessoccer.com once it is open.
The age of the Rec Soccer Player and Competitive Soccer Player is determined by their BIRTH YEAR. A soccer year is the same as that of a school year in that it starts in the Fall and runs through to the Spring of the following calendar year.
REFUNDS:
For recreational players: Players will not be placed on a team until all player fees have been paid. Once a player has registered, a $25 administrative fee is completely non-refundable. If a player cancels before the first games are played, registration fee less $25 is refunded. If SCSL is unable to place a player on a team, 100% is refunded.
For Competitive Team players:Refunds for fees are only given to families that move out of the area more than 50 miles, or in the case of injury. The SCSL Board may approve other refunds due to other significant life events. There are no other exceptions.
Refunds for players moving out of the area will be prorated based on the duration they participated during the current season, less cost paid on behalf of player for insurance, player cards, etc.
A player with season ending injuries may be eligible for prorated refunds of Club fees (less a $25 administrative fee) for the length of time they missed. For an injured player to receive a prorated refund they must have sustained a single injury that spans an extended duration and must provide a written note from a licensed doctor/health care provider who has evaluated them and deemed them to be unfit to return to play.
The coaching staff is subject to change and no coach is guaranteed for the entire season.
Refunds WILL NOT be given due to coaching staff changes or unhappiness with a coach.
Team fees for tournaments and uniforms are non-refundable.
